Runner gigs in Atlanta

Earn extra money distributing flyers in Atlanta.

Runners hand out flyers and leave them at doors for local businesses and organizers around Atlanta. You pick the gigs you want, set your own rate, and work when it suits you.

It's independent gig work. How much there is depends on the campaigns posted near you, and no number of gigs is guaranteed.

How it works

From sign-up to payout

Everything happens in the FlyerDuty app on your phone, from claiming a gig to logging the work.

  1. 1

Sign up and verify your identity

Create a Runner account, add your details, and verify your identity with Stripe using a photo ID. You need to be 18 or older.
  2. 2

Set your rates and work areas

Set a handout rate and a dropoff rate, each by the hour or per flyer. Mark the parts of Atlanta you want to work in, and alerts for new gigs near you reach you by email.
  3. 3

    Claim a gig

Browse open gigs near you, or answer an offer a client sent to you directly. The pay, area, timing and proof needed are shown before you claim. The client's artwork and exact details open up once the gig is yours.
  4. 4

Do the work and log it

Get the flyers printed, start a work session, and log each check-in or dropoff from your phone with its location and any photos the gig needs. Submit the gig when you're done.
  5. 5

    Get paid

The client has 48 hours to approve your work before it's approved automatically. The pay goes to your FlyerDuty balance and on to the bank account you connected through Stripe.

Rates

You set your rate

Set your handout and dropoff rates separately. Each one can be by the hour, from $1.00 to $150.00 an hour, or per flyer, from $0.01 to $10.00 a flyer.

A client who picks you from the Marketplace pays at least your rate. Gigs in the open queue show their pay before you claim them, so you can skip any that don't work for you.

The work

What a gig involves

Your schedule

There are no shifts or quotas. Claim a gig when it fits your day and pass on the ones that don't. Each gig has a deadline to finish by.

Printing

Some gigs need the flyers printed, on your own printer or at a local shop. A shop bill can go to the client as an expense, which they approve before it's paid back to you.

Getting there

You get yourself to the spot or along the route, on foot, by bike, by car or by transit. Travel is your own cost unless the client agrees to cover it as an expense.

Proof of the work

Dropoffs need a photo at each address, and handouts need photos when the client asks for them. Each check-in or dropoff records where it was logged, so your phone's location has to be on.

Where the gigs are

Gigs appear based on where they are, so you'll see Atlanta campaigns near the work areas you set. Dropoffs go only to homes where they're legal and permitted.

Street teams

Team up with other Runners to take a larger gig together. The team lead splits the work and the pay between members.

Requirements

Before you start

18 or older

Checked with a photo ID through Stripe Identity before you can claim a gig.

A phone

With a camera for proof photos and location access for check-ins and dropoffs.

A bank account

Connected through Stripe for payouts. Stripe may also ask for tax details.

Independent work

Runners are independent contractors who handle their own taxes, equipment and transport.

Gigs aren't guaranteed. FlyerDuty is a marketplace. The work available depends on the campaigns clients post near you, and your earnings depend on which gigs you take and your rates. This is independent, gig-based work, not employment and not a full-time position.

Questions people ask

How do I get paid to hand out flyers in Atlanta?

Sign up as a Runner, verify your identity with Stripe, and connect a bank account for payouts. Then claim handout or dropoff gigs near you. When the client approves your work, or 48 hours after you submit it, the pay goes to your balance and on to your bank.

How much can I earn?

It depends on the gigs posted near you, which of them you take, and your rates. FlyerDuty doesn't promise a number of gigs or a level of income.

Do I set my own rate?

Yes. You set a handout rate and a dropoff rate, each either by the hour ($1.00 to $150.00 an hour) or per flyer ($0.01 to $10.00 a flyer). Clients see your rates when they look at Runners in the Marketplace.

Is there a minimum number of gigs or hours?

No. There are no quotas or required hours. New Runners can hold one active gig at a time, and three once they have a record of completed gigs.

Do I need a printer?

No. You can print at a local shop, and print pickup runs only ask you to collect an order a venue already paid for and deliver it. Whether a gig needs printing is shown before you claim it.

Am I an employee of FlyerDuty?

No. Runners are independent contractors. You choose your own work and hours, use your own phone and transport, and handle your own taxes.

What do I need to sign up?

You need to be 18 or older, with a phone that can take photos and share its location, and a bank account for payouts. Your identity is checked through Stripe before you can claim gigs.
